(The best smile makeover in Letchworth
Dental veneers in Baldock. Letchworth and Hitchin

What are veneers?

Veneers are thin custom-made porcelain moulds which are bonded to the front surface of a tooth. They are great for stained, crooked, chipped or misshapen teeth.

Our dentists ensure that these veneers will fit well and through colour matching look like your own teeth.

You are likely to benefit from having veneers fitted:

  • If you want a nicer smile
  • If you would like more than one tooth changed
  • If you have discoloured, crooked, chipped or cracked teeth
  • If you want new looking teeth with little preparation and less pain
  • If you have teeth sensitivity

Treatment Process

Two appointments are required to place veneers

 dental anaesthetic will be needed

Your veneers should last between 10-15 years based on your dental hygiene routine.
We will give you personalised advice to help you with your dental health.

First Visit

Your first appointment will require your teeth/ your tooth to be filed down before veneers are placed to ensure that veneers can be bonded well onto your teeth. This will not hurt. Digital impressions are taken of your teeth so that you can see the end result. A temporary veneer will be fitted whilst the permanent veneers are made.

Second Visit

Your new veneers are bonded onto your teeth using a strong dental glue and adjusted to ensure there is no gap between the teeth and the gums. We are perfectionists, therefore we want to make sure the results are great. After the treatment, your gums may feel sore but this will settle within a few days and you will be left with a great smile.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Dependent on how well you look after them and what you eat they will last from 10-15 years. Your dentist will advise you on how to look after them.

A porcelain veneer is just bonded to the front of the tooth whereas the dental crown covers the entire tooth. This makes crowns thicker and more permanent than veneers.

Your dentist will discuss the best options for your teeth and what you want to achieve.
